awana boys and girls club

In Awana, our goal is to reach boys and girls with the good news of Christ Jesus, training them to know, love, and serve Him. We partner with parents in developing spiritually strong children who will follow Jesus Christ.

GC2 Church's Awana Boys & Girls Club finished out the 2022-2023 club year with great success, meeting outdoors at Legacy Montessori School's facility. Every clubber completed his/her handbooks, memorizing numerous scriptures and hiding God's Word in their hearts!

Families with children from Preschool thru 6th Grade are invited to register now for the 2023-2024 club year. We will be meeting in person outdoors, weekly on Saturday afternoons beginning September 16th, 2023 and running through May 2024. The Awana Family Open House (Kicks off our Awana club for the year) is on Saturday, September 16th, 3-4:30pm at Legacy Montessori School located at 12310 9th Street, Poway, CA 92064.

What is awana?

AWANA is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." This comes from the Bible in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."  The Awana Boys & Girls Club goal is to give children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

We meet most Saturdays during the Poway USD school year, from 3:00 - 4:30pm. Contact us to check for holiday closures.
