awana boys and girls club

In Awana, our goal is to reach boys and girls with the good news of Christ Jesus, training them to know, love, and serve Him. We partner with parents in developing spiritually strong children who will follow Jesus Christ.

GC2 Church's Awana Boys & Girls Club meets outdoors on Saturdays from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at the Legacy Montessori School facilities, located at 12310 9th St, Poway, CA 92064. Families with children from Preschool thru 6th Grade are invited to register. The Registration and Liability Release Form is available for download at this link: 2020-21_AWANA_Boys_and_Girls_Club_Registration_Form_with_Liability_Waiver.pdf

What is awana?

The name Awana is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." This comes from the Bible in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."  The Awana Boys & Girls Club goal is to give children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

We meet most Saturdays during the Poway USD school year, from 3:00 - 4:30pm. Contact us to check for holiday closures.
